Te Puna Ako / Centre for Tertiary Teaching and Learning (CeTTL) engages with students and staff across the University of Waikato to enhance the quality of teaching and learning. Academic and professional staff work collaboratively to provide leadership abilities in a wide variety of teaching and learning initiatives including development of professional and academic English language expertise Nga? ko?rero mo? te tu?ranga – About the function We have two vacancies, creating an opportunity for a Lecturer and a Senior Lecturer to join us. You will apply your passion and drive to design and lead initiatives that will enhance the quality and the inclusiveness of tertiary teaching across the University of Waikato. In particular, you will contribute to major initiatives for M?ori and Pasifika student and staff success, and Information technology would be strongly desirable to have an knowledge of bicultural approaches and knowledge of M?ori and Pasifika perspectives. You will further develop the strengths of the Centre in promoting accessible and inclusive teaching strategies and best practice in online learning design. You will also work with a diverse team to enhance tertiary teaching across the university through professional development workshops and events, individual consultations, and the delivery of the Postgraduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching and Learning. Your active research programme will contribute to the research profile of Te Puna Ako, and enable you to supervise research students at all levels. To be prosperous in this position you will be practiced in tertiary teaching and have a demonstrated commitment to using innovative and appropriate tertiary teaching methods and approaches, including blended, e-education, and team teaching. You will have a broad-located knowledge of pedagogy, curriculum design, assessment, evaluation, and reflective practitioner approaches and will maintain and develop original scholarship and research. You will have a PhD in a significant discipline, or be in the final stages of completion if applying at Lecturer level. The Lecturer income range is NZ$79,337 to $95,551 per year, and the Senior Lecturer range is NZ$98,280 to $129,402 per year. The income will be commensurate with the level of appointment.
