Job Opportunity: Picking & Packing +stock Control 3 Months Minimum:Job description:Picking & Packing +stock Control 3 Months MinimumPayment: Paid Position ($22.00+ and 8% hol pay depending on practice)Job location: Christchurch Region: Christchurch & Canterbury practice: No practice Necessary Listing Added: 07/10/2021 We are seeking for an energetic, enthusiastic and quick learner to help in our operations department starting immediately and staying for a minimum of 3 months, ideally 6 months or could be a permanent function for the right person. We are a leading flower grower/wholesaler located in Halswell, Christchurch. The work involves mainly dispatch/picking and packing and receiving/unpacking product as well as stock control. You will also possibly do deliveries and pick up product from freight depots, so a full, clean drivers licence is a must. Quite a lot of the work is in the coolroom, so you need to be comfortable working in that environment (approx.4 degrees). Other tasks will be related to the processing of cut flowers, i.e. making up boxes, getting trolleys with water buckets ready etc. The work is quite physical, as you will be on your feet all day and will need to be fit and able to lift the boxes which are up to 15 kg. You will need to be a quick learner and able to work fast to meet courier deadlines, set time limits and maintain our high quality standards. We operate in a fast paced work environment and require the capability to pick things up quickly and work accurately with numbers and orders. Note: this function requires you to stay for a minimum 3 months. You will need to be happy to work extra days/hours when required. You will also have valid working visa and a current drivers licence, forklift licence would be a bonus.
