   » Maintain databases and systems to support the National Crisis Management Centre (NCMC)
   » Analyse data and report on findings to support continuous improvement and learning

The National Emergency Management Agency / Te R?kau Whakamarumaru
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) provides national leadership abilities to New Zealand’s distributed emergency management system. NEMA’s primary focus is on the performance and capcapability of the emergency management system as a whole, across all hazards and all risks and the 4 Rs of risk reduction, readiness, response and recovery. We are going through an exciting phase of growth and there will be more opportunities with NEMA over the coming months.

function Purpose / Kaupapa T?ranga
As part of its current growth, NEMA requires an Advisor, Systems and Support.
this function will provide day-to-day organisation and administration of the workforce databases and supporting systems and processes to support the National Crisis Management Centre (NCMC). You will report on findings to provide an on-going narrative and to support continuous improvement and learning.
Building relationships and engaging with learners and partner organisations you will support stakeholder communications, onboarding, uptake and engagement in the learning and our learning management system, takat?.
expertise & practice / Tohunga & Wheako
   » Demonstrated interpersonal expertise, with strong customer focus, has dealt appropriately with a wide variety of staff and stakeholders
   » practice in working within workforce development, learning and assessment or an HR environment
   » practice with managing databases and performing analysis
   » practice with presenting data in formats best suited for decision making and communicating insights to a variety of audiences
   » Highly capable using the Microsoft suite of products – intermediate MS Excel or SQL expertise would be plus
   » practice with learning management systems desirable

   » A team player, comfortable facilitating a collaborative work environment, with a constant eye on meeting the objectives and goals of the project/programmes
   » Positive, able to work autonomously and able to deliver high quality work quickly
   » Strong attention to detail, works through processes to ensure they work effectively

   » Flexibility of approach/thinking, able to adapt in constantly changing circumstances
   » availability to grow M?ori capcapability and cultural confidence.
