An opportunity is currently available for an practiced Risk & Compliance professional to add some additional strength to an established team who develop and supervise control frameworks across the operations functions of the bank. The function will involve the interpretation of legislation and provision of advice to the business and will play an active function in training and guidance on decision making. this function is being recruited as a contract during a busy period of regulatory change and development. Information technology would therefore suit an practiced operational risk and/or compliance practitioner able to interact at a Senior Manager (or equivalent) level with a background in the banking or broader regulated financial services sectors. You will have a strong knowledge of the current regulatory landscape and be able to provide interpretation and advice on how this might impact on business decisions. Key to your success will be your capability to quickly form beneficial, positively-hued relationships with key stakeholders, be able to operate effectively in the grey areas of legislative interpretation. A background in law would be highly regarded.
