Are you ready to apply your Te Ao Maori skills to champion Maori-centred approaches for the way we support our clients? We have a great fixed-term opportunity to join us as a Senior Advisor – Maori within our Hapai development team, playing a lead function in the implementation of Hapai.
Established in 2021, Hapai is an approach ACC is taking to better support Kiritaki Maori. Information technology is a reciprocal partnership that is grounded in tika, aroha, pono and seeks to restore mauri, provide manaaki, and enhance the mana of whanau. In this function, you will provide expert Te Ao Maori guidance and lead the development and delivery of activities that support cultural capcapability across the organisation as Information technology relates to Hapai. You’ll be the voice of Iwi, hapu and Maori entities back to ACC to ensure we understand and are delivering to the needs of Maori.

As a team we are extremely passionate about what we do; improving practices and results for Maori. If you are Somebody with a deep sense of commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi, established networks in Maori communities and entities with a high level of competency in tikanga Maori, te reo Maori, then wed like to hear from you.
To be prosperous you will ideally have the following:
   » A deep knowledge of Maori culture, values, political and social systems, including strong Iwi networks
   » Demonstrated knowledge of matauranga Maori including an knowledge of Kaupapa Maori approaches
   » broad knowledge, and proven capability to advise on the application of te Tiriti o Waitangi
   » Proficiency in te reo
   » A proven track record in prosperous cultural partnering to support improved results for Maori
   » Highly effective interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills, with the capability to engage people at all levels
   » Strong written and verbal communication skills
   » Demonstrated analytical and evaluation skills
The midpoint of the income band for this function is $115,161 and appointment within the band will be dependent on skills and practice. We also offer a 9% superannuation contribution on top of all of our functions.
