You may also help with portioning ingredients and assembling dishes. Cleaning dishes, utensils, pots, and pans either manually or using dishwashing equipment. You may also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area, including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping surfaces, and sanitizing equipment. Assisting in receiving and storing food supplies, ingredients, and kitchen equipment. This may involve unpacking deliveries, organizing inventory, and rotating stock to ensure freshness. n Assisting in the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment, such as ovens, grills, fryers, and mixers. This may involve regular cleaning, removing debris, and reporting any malfunctions or repairs needed. Properly disposing of food waste, recyclables, and garbage according to sanitation and environmental regulations. You may also assist in sorting and recycling materials. Assistance to Chefs and Cooks: Supporting the kitchen staff by fetching ingredients, utensils, and equipment as needed. You may also help with plating dishes, garnishing, or any other tasks assigned by the chefs or cooks. Adhering to Health and Safety Standards: Following proper food handling, hygiene, and safety procedures to ensure a clean and safe working environment. This includes practicing good personal hygiene, wearing appropriate protective clothing, and maintaining cleanliness in accordance with local health regulations. Teamwork and Communication: Collaborating with the kitchen team, communicating effectively, and following instructions from supervisors or senior staff members to ensure smooth operations.
