You'll be a member of the National Library leadership abilities Team and provide thought leadership abilities to deliver on the National Library's commitments and obligations to M?ori. A key focus is contributing to an uplift in the National Library's capcapability to build closer enduring partnerships with M?ori. You'll also be working closely with Te Rua Mahara o te Kawanatanga Archives NZ, National Library specialist M?ori staff, He Tohu partners group, Te Komiti M?ori, iwi/M?ori, DIA, and Library and documentary heritage sectors to achieve mutual aims and strengthen partnerships with M?ori. You'll have broad and deep practice of Te Ao M?ori, including fluency in Te Reo M?ori and leadership abilities in tikanga. Your expertise and leadership abilities of the documentary heritage environment and consciousness of National Library and Archives NZ core business will be substantial, as will your capability to lead in two cultural contexts characterised by changing expectations and public service complexity. Proven empowering and mana enhancing management practice is required too, especially within a taonga or information related setting.
