Manat? M? Te Taiao (MfE) is responsible for leading the Government’s work in the complex area of contaminated land management in Aotearoa New Zealand.
The Waste and Resource Efficiency Business Group is undertaking an ambitious programme of work to establish a strong regulatory regime for contaminated land. This includes supporting regional councils and unitary authorities meet their obligations under the new resource management reforms. We’re also working to support the identification of landfills vulnerable to climate change as part of the Aotearoa New Zealand’s first National Adaptation Plan and helping New Zealanders transition to a low-emissions, low-waste society built on a circular economy by reducing the volumes of soil disposed of at landfills.

Reporting to the Kaiwhakahaere | Manager - Hazardous Substances, Biotechnology and Contaminated Land, we are calling for an practiced Project Manager who works well alongside others and can provide effective project management and lead stakeholder engagement activities to deliver our ambitious work programme. You will need to:
   » Engage and work with key stakeholders to achieve project deliverables, objectives and goals
   » Ensure plans remain aligned to business strategy and other significant projects/initiatives across the Ministry
   » Establish and maintain relationships with other agencies, local government and service providers
   » Manage scheduling, tracking, documentation and reporting of project milestones and
   » deliverables
   » Provide project leadership abilities and capcapability development to internal subject matter experts

income range for this function is $105,802 to $ 128,424 pa. Appointment within this range will be located on skills and practice.
