Permanent 1.0 FTE
located remotely in Waih?pai / Invercargill
Do you want to join an organisation at the cutting edge of online education?
We are pursuing a creative, innovative Year 1-10 Kaiako to join our team in our Southern Region, located in or near Waih?pai (Invercargill). With our team predominantly located in ?tepoti (Dunedin), you will be the sole Waih?pai Kaiako working remotely as we continue to build our capacity in the Southland region.
Ideally, you will have a particular interest, skills and/or practice in supporting the transition from our Year 10 programme toward an NCEA learning programme. You are enthusiastic to work within an organisation that is committed to its bilingual strategy and growing within this space. practice and/or capability in Pathways/ Life Skills education, a strong commitment to Interested in authentic learning, you model current pedagogy, are always coming up with new ideas and, have a sound expertise of the New Zealand Curriculum and assessment requirements. You have had practice working in a range of diverse and challenging contexts and thrive on being solution focused and thinking outside of the square to ensure ?konga are at the centre of what we do. You are excited by the opportunities of cross curricular collaboration and developing rich partnerships within a unique educational context.
It's an exciting time as we continue to innovate and transform the way we provide distance learning. As a predominantly online environment, we work with the latest technologies and are constantly growing in this space.
We’re forward-thinking and do things a little differently, but that doesn’t mean no student contact! You’ll interact with students at Huinga Ako (face-to-face advisories), communicate with them using online tools and guide a group of students as their Kaimanaaki (learning advisor).
