Summary/Whakar?popoto
Joining a highly skilled and passionate team that shares a strong sense of social justice, you'll work in partnership with other agencies in the housing and health space, to coordinate access to housing and residential recovery services. You will work closely with residential providers and mental health clinical teams to review housing and support needs for people who are often living with intergenerational challenges, mental health, addiction, and trauma issues. The function/Te Tuunga
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5.00pm, though we would be willing to consider applications for someone who would like to work part time (minimum 30 hours per week).

The function is located in Hamilton/Kirikiriroa and will involve working across Hamilton/Kirikiriroa and surrounds. Travel to other parts of the Waikato DHB region may also be required at times.
this function will involve working within the Ahik?roa coordination service. The community housing-located service has a strong focus on collaborating with other services to support transition, recovery, and wellness. this function is suited to a registered heath professional, such as an occupational therapist, social worker or mental health nurse, AoD Practitioner who would like to use their professional expertise in a transferable way, to make a difference in the housing and residential recovery space.
In this function you will work closely with key stakeholders to:
-review and coordinate referrals for mental health residential recovery services using a wh?nau centred approach
– identify and overcome barriers to accessing supported residential services
– identify on-going support needs for people in residential services to help them sustain and progress their living situation in line with their goals and aspirations.
– coordinate and facilitate transition through mental health residential recovery services into living situations to meet the needs of the people we support.

A confident communicator and relationship builder, you'll quickly build credibility while showcasing your sound problem solving and conflict resolution expertise. Your capability to work at pace and flourish under pressure will be complemented by excellent attention to detail, proficiency in record keeping and exceptional capability to organise and coordinate multiple tasks. You'll have expertise of and demonstrate utmost commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi principles and working with M?ori. You will require a current practicing certificate for this function. A full New Zealand driving license is also essential. practice with residential services or housing is also preferred.
