Oranga Tamariki – Ministry for Children, is in the community every day seeking to make a positive difference to the lives of tamariki, rangatahi and their wh?nau. We are seeking for someone who shares our passion for getting things right for tamariki to join our team as the Site Manager at our Blenheim site. this function presents an exciting opportunity to lead a team that demonstrates our vision and commitment to ensuring children and young people get the care, services and support they need to thrive. You will get the opportunity to join a leadership abilities team that is united around the vision of achieving transformational change to get the best for our tamariki and rangatahi. We are seeking for a result orientated leader who inspires and can strongly communicate the Oranga Tamariki vision and purpose. You’ll leverage off this to quickly establish solid working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, building on interagency and wider community engagement. Internally, your astute business acumen will allow you to effectively manage financial and human resource responsibilities. Your strong people management practice will be of benefit as you provide clear direction to your team leading them in a climate of change. On a day-to-day basis you will work to identify and effectively mitigate risk. Behind the scenes, you’ll have your finger on the pulse as you work to monitor and maximise performance, while ensuring our work is compliant, within budget, of high quality, and current with changes in social work and business practices. To be prosperous in this function you will have the following: » Demonstrate the commitment to getting things right for the children and young people in your community » Have proven practice in prosperously leading and managing service delivery operations within social work services context or comparable organisation » Strengths-located leadership abilities, with the capability to collaborate with others across the spectrum of the Ministry’s functions to achieve mutually agreed goals » Show strong skills in business planning, financial management, resource allocation and performance monitoring processes » Demonstrated practice and/or knowledge of Te Ao M?ori, and engaging with Iwi and M?ori communities » Demonstrate proven prosperous practice in leadership abilities with interagency partners and the wider community sector » Have excellent computer, verbal, written and interpersonal skills » Hold a significant tertiary qualification » Have a current full ‘clean’ driver’s licence » Demonstrate proven prosperous practice in leadership abilities with interagency partners and the wider community sector How to submit the application: Apply online with your CV and cover letter.
