You will be reporting to the Team Leader of Financial Accounting. The Financial Accountant is responsibility for delivering the following: » Maintain an knowledge of the Branch business strategy, goals and objectives to develop a work programme that integrates with and closely supports achievement of objectives. » Keep stakeholders (including the Team Leader) informed on priorities, opportunities and risks. » Support the prosperous delivery of key matters and projects across the business (eg, funding reviews and budget bids). » Help coordinate the preparation of the financial reporting across accountcapability documents eg, the Annual Report and Statement of Performance Expectations. » Support an efficient and accurate month end close (including internal reporting). » Help ensure financial accounting complies with Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (GAAP), International Public Sector Accounting Standards, tax legislation, Crown Entities Act, Public Finance Act.
