This is a permanent part-time function, 0.6 FTE, three days per week, located in Blenheim and will include surrounding areas. To be prosperous you will have the following: » Knowledge and knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application to improving health results for whanau Maori » An knowledge of equity and how this applies to your practice and health results » The capability to demonstrate and live our values; kia maia – to be courageous, kia Mahaki – to be humble, kia manaaki – to care and kia tuhono – to stand in relationships. » The capability to engage and communicate in Te Reo Maori (would be advantageous) » A commitment/interest in Te Reo Maori me nga tikanga » Demonstrated practice and knowledge of engaging with whanau Maori and Pacific peoples and communities (would be advantageous) » Strong knowledge and knowledge of tikanga Maori and effectively able to engage with Maori and non-Maori » Have completed PG Certificate in Primary Health Care Speciality Nursing or a RN committed to learning the expertise required to cover this function » Hold a current NZ Nursing Council Annual Practicing Certificate » Have effective interpersonal and communication expertise and an capability to build strong professional relationships with client’s, staff and stakeholders » Be competent with technology » Have a full New Zealand driver’s licence Why you will love working as a Nurse for Whanau Awhina Plunket: » We provide a comprehensive orientation and continuing support » We provide a challenging and stimulating learning and team environment » You would be part of a team with a ‘Let’s do this’ attitude.
