this function is at the heart of transparent and open government. Sitting in the Ministerial Advice Team, the Senior Advisor collaborates across the Department to deliver Official Information Act requests, Ministerials, Parliamentary Questions, event briefings, and Status Reports. this function is also responsible for supporting the team's work flow, development, and reporting requirements.
The Ministerial, Monitoring, and Capcapability Group (the MMC Group) spans official correspondence across multiple ministerial portfolios, Crown entity monitoring and statutory appointments, management of the Private Secretaries, business support, and navigational safety on Lake Taup?.
You will have:
   » At least one year of practice writing OIA responses and other official correspondence
   » Knowledge and knowledge of significant legislation, particularly the Official Information Act 1982 and the Public Records Act 2005
   » A sound knowledge of the machinery of government and ministerial processes
   » Excellent written and verbal communication expertise, with an eye for accuracy, detail and quality
   » A demonstrated capability to identify, articulate and mitigate risks
   » Excellent relationship management expertise and the capability to work at all levels of an organisation
   » An capability to remain calm and focused to deliver to tight timeframes when needed
   » practice in leading, project-managing and delivering process improvement initiatives
   » practice in mentoring or team development
