We are currently seeking a highly motivated and expertiseable Chemistry Lecturer for a fixed-term (6 months) full-time position. In this position, you will play a crucial function in ensuring the success of our newly-revised first-year chemistry curriculum. Key Job responsibilities: » Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions for first-year chemistry courses » Assess and provide constructive feedback on student assignments, exams, and projects » Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance course materials and teaching methodologies » Provide academic support and guidance to students, fostering a positive learning environment » Coordinate laboratory instruction and promote good practice amongst our postgraduate teaching adjuncts » Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of our chemistry programs Qualifications and practice: » A PhD in Chemistry or a closely related discipline » Proven practice in teaching chemistry at a tertiary level » Excellent communication and interpersonal expertise » A strong commitment to student success and the promotion of inclusive teaching practices » capability to work independently and as part of a diverse team If you are a dynamic and innovative educator who is eager to make a lasting impact on our students and the field of chemistry, we encourage you to apply for this compensateing opportunity at Auckland University of Technology.
