We are seeking for support workers to join our team to supervise, motivate and positively influence the reintegrative journey for offenders M? te t?nga | About the function In Canterbury there are residential facilities for people who have a history of offending behaviour and are subject to sentences or orders (including extended supervision orders, intensive monitoring orders or public protection orders). These facilities are operated by Ara Poutama Aotearoa (Department of Corrections) and designed to assist individuals to develop important life expertise within a supportive and supervised environment in order to prosperously reintegrate back into the community. The income range for this position is $58,138 – $62,614. Ng? p?kenga me ng? wheako | expertise & practice You will have the following expertise and practice; » A full New Zealand Driver License with the capability to drive a manual vehicle » practice working with people from all walks of life, particularly with complex and/or challenging needs » Good time management and organisational expertise » To be culturally respectful and non-judgemental » An capability to maintain clear and professional boundaries at all times » An capability to make decisions in a safe and logical manner, providing practical solutions to day to day issues. M?u | About you As a permanent, full-time staff member you will be working on a cyclic shift roster which includes night-shift and working public holidays.
