Launched in 2007, the Gallery creates industry-leading art practices which engage, inspire, challenge and educate. As a public art gallery, we represent and advocate for the rich and broad ranging visual arts culture in New Zealand. We strive to cater for an increasingly diverse population of artists and visitors, creating opportunities for all to access, lgain and practice art. TAG strives to be hub for cultural inclusiveness and M?ori practices, engaging a range of stakeholders to promote Tauranga's unique identity and to enable tangata whenua engagement. We also value fruitful and enduring exchanges with mana whenua. The Tauranga Art Gallery is one of New Zealand's most respected regional public galleries. The Gallery's ambitious exhibitions, events and programmes attract tens of thousands of visitors annually. The Gallery regularly tours exhibitions programmes all over New Zealand and to key locations in Australia. Position Purpose: We are pursuing the services of an Business Development Manager with an interest in making an impact in the culture of Tauranga. this function is responsible for managing stakeholder relationships and developing, managing and delivering sponsorship and fundraising strategies. this function will build on and extend private and public revenue streams and commercial opportunities, bolstering the Gallery's capacity to develop exhibitions, events and class-leading education programmes. this function will be responsible for establishing and nurturing strong relationships and long-term partnerships, including the Gallery's key stakeholder Tauranga City Council, and its networks of additional private and public supporters, corporate sponsors, and Gallery supporter groups, including the Friends of the Gallery, the Foundation, and the 500-Club.
