About the function
You’ll play a vital part in assessing baby’s development at key stages, promoting health and education for children up to five years of age, and supporting caregivers to develop and optimise their parenting expertise. You’ll manage a client portfolio and will enjoy building relationships with whanau and families.
As a Plunket Nurse you will also work in partnership and collaboration with other services to ensure our most vulnerable whanau receive wrap around services that improve results while promoting collaboration between health and social service providers.
To be prosperous in this position:
   » A Registered Nurse with a current APC
   » Committed to undertaking a one-year Postgraduate Certificate in Primary Health Care Specialty Nursing Well Child/Tamariki Ora Strand
   » Knowledge and knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how Information technology applies to health results
   » An excellent communicator and fluent in written and spoken English
   » Able to build and maintain strong relationships within the community, clients and Wh?nau ?whina Plunket people.
   » A holistic approach to health and wellbeing
   » Hold a full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence
   » A New Zealand citizen or permanent resident is essential
   » practiced working with families from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds
