This could be the function for you.
Our newly established Content Creator function is your opportunity to work closely with our marketing teams and play a key function in managing in-house social media and content creation. You will be responsible for developing and creating engaging content that shares the AUT (Auckland University of Technology) story with domestic and international audiences, protects and enhances our reputation, and supports growth and retention efforts.
this function will play a crucial part in visual and written content creation for TikTok and Instagram, managing a content calendar, and implementing effective inbound and outbound marketing strategies.
Responsibilities
   » Develop and produce high-quality visual and written content: this includes but is not limited to photography, videography, graphic design, and written copy. To be prosperous in this function you must be proactive and take initiative with idea and concept generation for content.
   » Film and edit videos: produce and edit videos for organic and paid social media campaigns that capture the attention of the target audience.
   » Understand social media channel Requirements: implement best practice for various channels and optimise content for each platform to maximise engagement and reach.
   » Stay updated on social media trends and apply this expertise to AUT’s social media presence.
   » Analytics and reporting: monitor and evaluate content performance and utilise insights to provide recommendations for optimisation.
Skills & practice
   » A tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing or a related discipline is required (bonus points if you’re an AUT graduate).
   » Demonstrated practice in social media content creation and managing social media channels. practice with TikTok and Instagram reel creation is highly desirable.
   » Creative Special Skills: proficient in developing engaging visual content including the planning, shooting and editing of high-quality videos.
   » availability to be featured in social content.
   » Strong working expertise and practice with editing tools such as Capcut and Canva Pro. Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Premiere and Lightroom would be considered highly desirable.
   » Brand consciousness: the capability to represent AUT consistently across various channels.
   » Social media Special Skills: in depth expertise of various platforms, trends and best practices including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and WeChat.
   » Attention to detail: meticulous approach to ensure accuracy and quality of content creation and publishing
   » The capability to work independently and as part of a team.
