Mo tenei turanga – About this function
The Technical Advisor is responsible for providing research and analysis to understand the performance of buildings and assets and to use this evidence base to support planning and investment decisions. This includes advice on the integration of strategy, process, and technology changes that support the development of high-quality asset management plans for schools.
You will:
   » lead research and analysis tasks to improve aspects of the asset planning process by engaging with subject matter experts across the Ministry, referring to outside sources
   » compile and synthesize complex technical information and test assumptions to present a clear knowledge of the issues and options
   » support and contribute to development of operational process and practice guidance, including writing technical guidance and examples
   » be the go-to person for high quality technical advice on a wide variety of building performance and asset management issues connected with the planning process.
You will be supported by subject matter experts and assisted by other departments such as Procurement and Asset Management

income range
$77,966 – $95,292 per annum plus 3% kiwi saver. The prosperous candidate will be appointed at a income which reflects individual expertise and practice.

At Te Tahuhu o te Matauranga, we work to provide services and support nationally, regionally and locally to the education sector, and in some cases, directly to akonga and whanau. To better deliver on this, we are currently undergoing an organisational design change. The transition phase to improve the way we deliver our purpose will be complete in 2023.
