THE ROLE:
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this will require establishing a Lean vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance as well as provide training and leadership upon their implementation within our teams. A day in the life of the successful applicant may include (but is not limited to):
   » Leading lean activities such as the planning and running of lean meetings and trainings with key internal stakeholders
   » Providing leadership and input on continuous improvement activities to optimise production and improve delivery quality
   » Challenging teams to meet lean changes such as reducing inventory, waste identification and elimination, and reducing manufacturing cycle time
   » Undertaking statistical and date driven analysis for plant improvement projects
   » Developing business improvement process documentation to reflect lean strategy
   » Communicating and reporting upon the process of various lean projects, providing a high level of technical expertise
YOU:
You will be a natural relationship builder and strong communicator, who is exceptionally process and detail oriented and typically like to use data to inform your decisions. it would further help if you have a master black belt in six sigma or an equivalent qualification, and have extensive experience leading the implementation of a lean vision and strategy into an organisation.
Joining our operations team, having a background in manufacturing or a similar production-oriented environment is also desirable, and excellent leadership and coaching skills not limited to training, planning, and decision making would be further advantageous.
