This involves looking after the venue, reception, café and box office (when a show is in the theatre). Please apply if you want to be part of a vibrant team in a fun, creative environment. TAPAC is located in Western Springs, opposite the Auckland Zoo. Information technology operates 4 studios for many performing arts activities including dance, circus and acting; a theatre and a café/bar. We want professional, positive and outgoing candidates who are prepared to get stuck in and work hard. The ideal candidates must relate well to clients, possess great organisational expertise, and be enthusiastic, reliable and trustworthy. They need to be great multi-taskers, be calm under pressure and have the capability to fit in well with an established team. This is a busy function covering a wide variety of activities. The key to success in the function will be strong organisational expertise so that priorities can be managed well, with a smile. The part-time casual work is usually from 3pm till close in the evenings (9pm or later) on weekdays or in the weekend, either during the day, or from the afternoon until close. You will need: » Strong computer and word-processing expertise » A mature, pleasant and efficient manner » Good communication and listening expertise » Solid planning and organisational expertise » The capability to handle transactions You will fit in at TAPAC if you have: » Excellent communication expertise » A high level of ownership and the capability to work autonomously » Excellent time management expertise » capability to excel as part of a team, collaborative and self-driven » capability to connect with a broad range of people » A can-do attitude with a availability to go beyond and do whatever needs doing » Excellent eye for detail » practice in hospitality, retail or client facing administration is desirable, but not essential » A service mentality, you love helping others and the organisation succeed You are logical, efficient, flexible, organised, adaptive, and quick to learn. You want to work in the performing arts and have a work ethic second to none. Information technology would be an advantage if you have a Bar Manager's licence and are capable of acting, if required, as the Front of House Manager.
