Job Opportunity: Class 4 Drivers Urgently Required:Job description:Class 4 Drivers Urgently RequiredPayment: Paid Position ($27-$28 per hour)Job location: Christchurch Region: Christchurch & Canterbury practice: practice Necessary Listing Added: 22/09/2022 Hilton Haulage We’re on the hunt for keen and enthusiastic Class 4 Bulk Drivers to fill a number of fixed term functions for our upcoming 2022 Pea Harvest Season , which runs from November through to mid-February each year. In this function, you will be commencing each shift at the Wattie’s site in Hornby, collecting peas directly from the farm and delivering to the Wattie’s processing plant. Teamed up with a shift partner, you will be working either day or night shift, collecting from farms that are typically located in the south of Christchurch through to Rakaia. The work roster is 6 days on / 2 off, or 6 nights on / 2 off (nightshift allowances apply), which is set at the beginning of the season and continues all over the Christmas and New Year period. A full Class 4 licence is a minimum requirement, although Class 5 drivers will be viewed favourably, and recent practice operating a Road Ranger gear box is a plus but not essential. Following the end of harvest season there may be permanent opportunities available across Hilton’s divisions as well as a potential opportunity for Class 4 Drivers to obtain their Class 5 licence.
