The New Zealand Choral Federation |Kotahitanga manu reo o Aotearoa (NZCF) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting the performance, creation and enjoyment of group singing for all. We are Aotearoa's largest choral network, with over 20,000 members drawn from hundreds of community, school and chamber choirs.
NZCF has secured funding from Manat? Taonga| Ministry for Culture& Heritageto deliver training, mentoring and resources for teachers of group singing in the primary/intermediate sector, and to provide pathways, support and training for 18-25 year olds to continue their passion for singing into adulthood. The Primary Choral Outreach Coordinator will manage the delivery of the primary/intermediate components of our MCH project. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work effectively in the house, has practice in the choral and education sectors, and is passionate about tamariki and the power of music to transform lives.
The Primary Choral Outreach Coordinator will work closely with the Artistic Advisor for this new Primary Choral Outreach programme and will be supported by the Chief Executive and other members of our small NZCF team.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Primary Choral Outreach Coordinator you will?
   » Manage promotion of the initiative to schools
   » contact with schools and their contact person/teacher to be mentored
   » Collect and collate feedback from schools to measure the success of delivery
   » Arrange schedules and any travel arrangements for mentors
   » Collate resources where necessary
   » Create pages and manage content on the NZCF website to support the initiative
   » Project manage the creation of a series of self-contained 30-minute audiovisual programmes for use in schools, including engaging a video producer and technical crew, booking any connected travel, contracting and liaising with presenters, creating a schedule for delivery and promoting the series to schools
   » Contribute substantially to project milestone reports for Ministry of Culture and Heritage
This is a fixed-term employee or independent contractor function to 30 June 2024, working from a home-located office, with total remuneration in the range of $65-70k pro rata.
