Ko wai m?tou? – Who are we?
Poutama Pounamu sits within the Division of Education with its main office in Tauranga, and is seeking Facilitators to be located across Aotearoa, Poutama Pounamu provides professional learning and development (PLD) and undertakes research in support of its commitment to supporting equity, excellence and belonging for all learners in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Ng? k?rero m? te t?ranga – About the function
In this position you will be passionate about developing skills/capabilities and values of the PLD requirements to Te Hurihanganui communities, Communities of Learning/K?hui Ako, schools, kura and other institutions as set out in contract agreements. In addition, you will contribute to the additional work-streams of Poutama Pounamu depending on individual skills.
These functions engage with communities mandated by the Covid-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order 2021 and you will therefore be required to provide proof of vaccination for this function. For more information, please seeCovid-19 information site.
Ko wai koe? – Who are you?
To be prosperous in the function, Information technology is essential to have a significant qualification, preferably at postgraduate level with demonstrated success as a professional development facilitator, school leadership abilities practice and availability to work towards Accredited Facilitator status via the Ministry of Education.
In addition, you must have deep knowledges of The New Zealand Curriculum (NZC) and historical knowledges of schooling in New Zealand, including the function and influence of the Treaty of Waitangi, school policies, resources, and challenges as they relate to system improvement for M?ori.
You must be able to work effectively as an individual and within a team, and be motivated to pursue new learning opportunities. You will have practice with working effectively with M?ori wh?nau and communities and Information technology would be advantageous to be able to communicate in te reo.
