About this function
Work located Learning (WBL) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Te P?kenga, operating as a transitional organisation. Playing a critical function in creating a better Aotearoa, Information technology was created to amalgamate the transitional Industry Training Organisations (ITOs) that elect to transfer their arranging training activities and supporting functions to Te P?kenga under the Reform of Vocational Education and the enacting legislation - the Education and Training Act 2020.
this function will require you:
Reporting to the Kaik?kiri – Director Equity and Partnerships, Work located Learning (WBL) the Kaitautoko, Senior Advisor Equity and Partnerships will support the delivery of our Te Tiriti and equity obligations across the WBL subsidiary. this function will advise, guide, lead and support in the prosperous delivery of our Te Tiriti Excellence, Te Tiriti Futures and Equity programme of work. You will be a member of the WBL equity and partnerships team and actively guide and support the WBL Business Divisions. this function will also work closely with Te P?kenga's Partnership and Equity team (PAE) to strengthen our relationships through whakawhanaungatanga, kotahitanga, manaaki and aroha.
About you
You will be practiced in providing professional advice and guidance to our Executive leadership abilities Team (ELT) and Senior Managers and leaders. You must have a passion for working in a kaupapa M?ori and Te Ao M?ori environment. As a Kaitohutohu - Senior Advisor Equity and Partnerships you will need to have some knowledge of Te Reo, Tikanga and M?tauranga M?ori.
We are seeking for someone who can quickly build relationships across the organisation and someone who has good relationships with iwi, hap?, whanau and M?ori communities. Being able to build relationships with the team and across the business will be key to your success in this function.

To be prosperous in this function you will have:
   » Good practice working in the education sector, preferably in a vocational education setting and/or a Crown Agency or Government Agency.
   » Strong relationship and partnership building practice, especially with M?ori, iwi, hapu and M?ori organisations.
   » A tertiary or vocational qualification that is significant to working in this sector.
   » practice in knowledge and applying a Te Tiriti o Waitangi approach to your work programme.
   » An knowledge and capability to apply te reo, me ona t?kanga approach to your work
   » Have excellent communication expertise, written and verbal
