Located in the heart of Hawkes Bay, we are a popular garden bar with a great atmosphere, events and live music with a strong team culture. Do you have a passion for food, hospitality and customer service and have experience in a similar position? We are looking for a chef to join our team and help with the day to day running of our establishment's kitchen and ensure that the quality of all food presented to customers meets establishment standards. INTERPERSONAL & PERSONAL SKILLS » Creativity and passion. » Excellent communication skills (written and oral) » Customer service skills Responsibilities » Food prep. » Follow maintenance & cleaning schedules of equipment, storage and work areas. » Setting and maintaining excellent standards for food safety. » Maintaining hygiene and health and safety practices. » Uphold morale in the kitchen. » Ensure relationship between kitchen and front of house staff is of a high standard. » Minimising food waste, and actively seeking solutions to help us achieve our waste goals. » Wednesday to Sunday: Sat/Sunday work is essential, and some nights are expected in this role. » Any other duties the Head Chef may reasonably require.
