This is the vision of a new M?ori language strategy called the Maihi M?ori that was developed by M?ori for k?inga, hapori and iwi. Early in 2017, Te Ma?ta?wai met with all stakeholders nationwide to gather feedback on Ma?ori language initiatives in homes and communities, their aspirations for te reo Ma?ori and the function of Te Ma?ta?wai in realising these aspirations. The feedback informed the development of the Maihi M?ori 2017-2040 Strategy. In this exciting function you will be responsible for leading and managing the investment strategy and procurement processes as well as the creation of innovative frameworks to cluster-located decision making and language planning. More operationally you will provide advice and guidance to key stakeholders and leaders in setting and managing the work programme including contract management, reporting and investment strategy evaluation. About you To succeed in this function you will bring: » practice dealing with the management of investment funding, procurement and community-located programmes in a government organisation » A collaborative working style and capability to influence key stakeholders in their decision making » Proven capability to provide advice, insight and guidance to senior leadership abilities » Strong analytical and problem-solving expertise, sound judgement, and the capability to use these expertise confidently to make decisions in pressured settings » A commitment to the revitalisation of Te Reo M?ori and practice working with whanau, hap?, iwi, M?ori organisation's and M?ori communities.
