You will have demonstrated success in leading complex policy through all stages, including the passage of primary legislation. You can work with stakeholders across the Ministry, government and sector, and you have practice in leading consultation processes. You have a solid knowledge of the Ministry’s obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi and can advise government on options and levers to improve health equity. You are comfortable using data, research and evidence and you bring with you a strong capability to take complex information and make Information technology significant across a range of audiences. The function of Manager Regulatory Policy reports to the Group Manager, Public Health System Policy. You will lead the development of policy advice and the progression of primary and secondary legislation on a range of cross cutting issues, including drug checking services and drug classifications. You will work with other agencies to provide advice on improving health results for all New Zealanders, using all levers available to government and the community.
