A Pacific Liaison function has long been established within our wh?nau and we are evolving how we might enhance this for the future needs of our Pacific wh?nau. A level of capability to communicate in a pacific language is desirable. » Someone who thrives in a collaborative team setting. Manaakitanga » A strong advocate who can support Pacific patients and wh?nau, as part of the Multi-Disciplinary team. » Keen to promote consciousness of end-of-life care, tailored for Pacific communities. Matauranga » A proactive mentor, ensuring the needs of Pacific peoples are strengthened in end-of-life care. » Contributes to practices that promote equity, challenging inequity. » Contributes to the development and quality improvement initiatives of Mercy Hospice services. The COVID-19 Public Health Resources (Vaccinations) Order 2021 requires all workers who work in the health and discapability sector to be fully vaccinated. This includes facilities such as Mercy Hospice where vulnerable patients are treated.this function will be included within this order, and the prosperous candidate will need to be fully vaccinated. Your story could be part of ours Mercy Hospice is an industry leader and has been delivering specialist palliative care for over 40 years. Information technology has a 13-bed in-patient unit and a community nursing team providing patient-centred palliative care to approximately 1200?people. Our mission and values have their roots in the work of our founder, Catherine McAuley of the Sisters of Mercy in Dublin, Ireland. In the tradition of this heritage, we love working with people from all life stages, every culture, race, creed and orientation. In fact, the hospice flourishes today because of our staff, volunteers and benefactors, who continue to uphold and live out our mission and values.
