TheMHF'sCommunityEngagementand Health PromotionTeam is seekingan practiced grants advisor or administrator to lead theco-ordination anddelivery of theN?kuteAo: Like Minds Social Action Grants programme.
N?kuteAo: Like Mindsis a nationalprogrammeaimingto end prejudice and discrimination againstthe47% of New Zealanders who willpractice mentaldistressor illnessin their lifetime.Asthe leadof theSocial Action Grantscomponentof thatprogramme,you willbe responsible forincreasing the grants' engagementandreachintocommunities across Aotearoa,collaborativelypromotingthe grantsthroughboth kanohi-ki-te-kanohi and digitalchannelsalongside a Communications and Marketing Lead.
Seeing theend-to-end grantsprocess through,you'lluseyour relationship and project management skills tofosterandprocurethe creation of outstandinggrantsapplications,whilestayingconnected to grant recipientsand,ensuringtheirprojectsremainon track.Balancingyourtime betweenassessingspreadsheetsandengagingwith M?ori,Pasifika, Asian, rainbow and lived practice communities andtheirintersections,you'llbuild andmaintaincommunitynetworksandidentifydifferingneedsacross them to help end mental distress discrimination in Aotearoa.
Ifyou havegrantspractice,have workedinhealth promotion or mental healthandwant to be a part ofthisinspiringprogramme, this is the function for you.
To beprosperousin this function you will have:
   » 2-3 years' practice working in agrantsadvisor or grants administrator function
   » Anknowledgeof mental health (including positive mental health) and the mental health sector
   » Knowledge of the communities most impacted bymentaldistressand illness
   » An capabilityto work with a diverse range of people and cultures
   » Skills in projectand budget management
   » An knowledgeofTeTiritio Waitangi and its practical application
   » An existingknowledge of, and availability to grow and extendyourknowledge of,teaoM?ori andtereoM?ori.

this function will work closely and collaboratively across the MHF, as well as with otherN?kuteAo: Like Minds partner organisations and the programme's funder, TeHiringa Hauora/theHealth Promotion Agency.
this function sits within the Mental Health Foundation's Community Engagement and Health Promotion team, and reports to the Community Engagement and Health Promotion Team Lead.
