They are at a very exciting phase in their journey. With new investors, the hospital is expanding, and is seeking staff to run new theatres and exciting new ventures. About the function You will be providing high quality, individualised and patient-focused care; and support to team members and the organisation. There are five well-equipped and modern theatres plus PACU, CSSD and anaesthetic technician services. A diverse range of progressive procedures means the work is varied and technologically challenging as nurses work across the specialties: Orthopaedics, General Plastics and reconstruction, Gynaecology, Urology, Ophthalmology and Oral and maxillofacial Otorhinolaryngology. Hours of work are Monday to Friday with minimal call to cover infrequent instances of return to theatre. Shifts start between 0700 and 1200, and the latest finish time is 2030 hours. Most staff are full-time working eight-hour shifts, but there is the flexibility to negotiate your hours with the hospital’s needs – for instance, there are short shifts of 5 hours, and long shifts of 10 hours. About you As the prosperous candidate for this function, you must have: » Current NZNC Annual Practicing Certificate. » The capability to demonstrate consistent professional conduct and attention to detail. » Must possess excellent verbal and written communication expertise as well as excellent interpersonal expertise with patients, staff, and other health care professionals. » Previous theatre practice preferred but not required.
