Job Opportunity: Manager – Quality and Performance:Ministry of HealthJob description:Job Description» Are you an practiced manager or quality lead who would like to make a difference to disabled people?» Are you able to work effectively in fast moving and often ambiguous work environment? » Wellington-located, fixed-term until June 2022 This is a great opportunity to lead the quality and performance team in the Discapability Directorate. The quality and performance team works alongside the operational and specialist support teams to deliver on quality and performance systems and processes. The team has a focus on ensuring that disabled people who access funded support through the discapability support system get the best outcome. The team works with portfolio managers, providers, key ministry colleagues and a team of auditors and evaluators to deliver on a range of programmes. We have a supportive, collaborative and flexible work environment where innovation and user needs are central to our way of working. Together we have a key function in shaping the future of the health and discapability sector in New Zealand. We are seeking for the following: » A minimum of five years’ practice in the Public Sector and/or health sector » practice in leading a team » Ideally expertise of Machinery of Government » People with a strategic outlook with the intellectual capcapability to analyse large, complex issues and readily grasp and synthesise the ideas, analysis and advice produced by others » Self-starters, who have the confidence to work in a complex and ambiguous operating environment, and who take ownership of their work to deliver results » People with highly developed written and oral communication expertise.
