About our group and team
The Education Workforce group comprises workforce strategy and planning, contracts and implementation, and employment relations, including collective bargaining and pay equity. The group supports the sector to build a workforce that has the capcapability and capacity to deliver high-quality practice and can support innovation across the system to lift student achievement.
Within Education Workforce, the Contracts and Implementation team administers, manages and delivers programmes that support present and prospective teachers to develop their professional practice. This team is driven by a desire to support future educators from communities which are underserved by the system, delivering equitable and excellent results across the board.
About this function
As a Senior Adviser, you will direct the design and delivery of new initiatives that come into the team. We are seeking for capable and practiced people who can think strategically, manage and coordinate complex projects, utilise your contract and procurement practice, and work with a wide variety of groups to achieve our goals. we At Presenthave a secondment opportunity available for Senior Adviser vacancy in Contracts and Implementation Advisory team as part of the Education Workforce team.
To excel in this function, you will bring the following:
   » Intelligence and responsiveness within Maori and/or Pasifika culture
   » Effective and excellent customer service
   » Highly developed communication and relationship-management expertise
   » Strong organisational expertise and a track-record of delivering time-critical work with accuracy
   » An capability to plan ahead, sequence work, and manage priorities and risks
   » Technical competency in the use and development of electronic and online tools
   » practice in contract management and Government’s procurement processes
   » expertise of the public sector environment and the Machinery of Government
