About our group and team Te Pae Aronui is the Ministry’s operational and integration group. We work closely with our Ministry, sector and government agency colleagues to ensure early childhood services, schools, kura and communities have the support they need to achieve the best education results for all children and young people. The Education Network team is responsible for making sure the school network is in the best shape and equipped to offer the best quality of education for every New Zealander. Our national and regional staff keep an eye on where the network needs to move and adapt to meet the growing needs of ?konga/learners and their whanau. About this function The Manager Network Insights and Evidence is a pivotal function within the Education Network team where you will be responsible for developing, leading and implementing the network data and evidence strategy as well as planning and ensuring that there is an effective work programme nationwide that delivers on the priorities of the organisation, including data and evidence to support the development of the early learning network function. As this is a people management function, you will have accountcapability for a small team of analysts. About you To be prosperous in this function you will need to have worked in a similar position where you have created effective data solutions for complex or unique scenarios. You will need to have significant practice in strategic planning, developing and implementation of new operating models, excellent communication expertise with the capability to lead and influence. You will also offer the following: » capability to identify and manage strategic linkages with internal and external initiatives » practice of leading and motivating, coaching and upskilling direct reports » Excellent conflict resolution expertise » Excellent analysis and problem-solving capability » Able to play to the strengths of people not only within the team but across the Ministry using highly advanced influencing expertise » Adapts a holistic approach to problem solving which relates to the ‘bigger picture’ » Proven practice of effectively leading transformational organisational and business change » Knowledge of public sector procurement and contract management processes » significant tertiary qualification » knowledge of best practice service delivery in the public sector internationally » Sound knowledge of Machinery of Government, public sector delivery structures and systems » knowledge of the Treaty of Waitangi and its implications for the work of the Ministry Are you ready to make a difference?
