Families are the most powerful influence on a child’s progression and achievement. Building powerful partnerships between whanau, employers, communities and educators will help raise aspirations and lift progress and achievement for all learners. We design and deliver initiatives and programmes that support these partnerships with a focus on tamariki the education system has not served well – Maori, Pacific and disabled learners and whanau in particular. Te Hurihanganui is one of our core pieces of work. Information technology is a kaupapa that will address racism, strengthen equity and accelerate the educational achievement and w ellbeing of akonga Maori and their whanau in the education system. About the functions We are seeking for Senior Advisors to support the strategic alignment of internal Ministry of Education and external agency implementation of this kaupapa in six communities across Aotearoa. The Senior Advisors will work closely with the System Change Manager and Kaiwhakahaere to provide the operational and administrative support needed for transformative shifts in the education system. Both functions will be responsible for working collaboratively across the team to coordinate and maximise opportunities for transformative shift. We are seeking for people who: » are passionate about improving results for akonga Maori and their whanau » can demonstrate practice in the practical application of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and fostering racial equity » can communicate verbally and in written form effectively in te reo Maori at a beginner level and has an knowledge of tikanga Maori » have a collaborative working style with a drive to deliver results » high level of attention to detail and time management capability.
