About our group and team Te Puna Hanganga, Matihiko – Infrastructure and Digital, a part of Te T?huhu o te M?tauranga – Ministry of Education, creates and supports safe, healthy, inspiring and Digital enabled learning environments. We manage the Crown’s second largest property portfolio of around 2,100 schools with a book value of $23.7 billion and transport over 100,000 students to and from school each day. Our vision for school property is that all schools have quality learning environments as part of a well-managed and sustainable portfolio that helps deliver equitable and excellent results for every child. Portfolio Management Office (PMO) provides Portfolio level guidance, governance, standardised process and portfolio management best practices, tools and techniques. The PMO has oversight of the entire investment lifecycle, end to end, in its function to support evidence-located decision making. About this function Working within the Portfolio Management Office, Centre of Excellence team – the Business Improvement Advisor will support the identification, development, embedding and continuous improvement functions of Business Improvement Initiatives across the Property Delivery team. The principle focus of the function will be continuing development, management and coordination of the Lessons Learned process including alignment with other initiatives, programmes and teams such as Post Occupancy Evaluation and Design and Construction Assurance. About you Strong communication, presentation and organisational expertise are a must, as well as critical thinking and analytical capcapability. You will be personable, professional, positive and a lateral thinker looking for a challenge. You’ll be working collaboratively with a diverse range of internal stakeholders at varying levels across the organisation. You will develop key relationships and contacts to facilitate engagement and promote discussion to achieve focused results. Ideally you will have an knowledge or background in a Property Delivery related field, knowledge and practice of the school sector and a track record in supporting or driving business operations and change. The Portfolio Management team is in the Establishment Phase so you will be joining a growing and evolving team. You will need to be agile and supportive as you will be joining the team driving strategic innovation and improvement across Project Delivery. Are you ready to make a difference ?
