Chief Infrastructure and Investment agent:Maori Pacific JobsJob description:Job DescriptionChief Infrastructure and Investment agentFollowing the Health and Discapability System Review, results indicated that the complicated healthcare system in New Zealand was contributing to inequity and a lack of consistency in care. In order to simplify and coordinate the health system across the country, a new organisation has been created - Hauora Aotearoa | Health New Zealand (HealthNZ). HealthNZ has been created to achieve a vision of pae ora, healthy futures for all New Zealanders. The new system will be established around the priority results of partnership, equity, sustaincapability, person- and wh?nau-centred care, and excellence. The formation of HealthNZ is a truly bold and courageous step in the journey to transform the way that health services are delivered in Aotearoa New Zealand. HealthNZ will manage the health system day to day and will plan and commission health services for the whole population - with responsibility for improving service delivery and results at all levels. The new organisation will unify the existing public health service, ensuring decisions on the ground are made in alignment with the strategic and national policy direction of the Ministry of Health. In partnership with the M?ori Health Authority, HealthNZ will ensure that the system has a strong focus on health results and care for M?ori. The newly created function of Chief Infrastructure and Investment agent will provide strategic leadership abilities over all aspects of infrastructure investment and asset management - ensuring Ministers, the HealthNZ executive and board members are well advised on the utilisation of sector resources and assets. This unique function will provide nationwide leadership abilities across the Infrastructure and Investment Business Unit with an emphasis on Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action, working alongside the executive to bring to life the Waka Hourua Kawenata - with the two worldviews moving together in a common direction. This is an exciting and transformational opportunity to develop a detailed investment roadmap for the future of health in New Zealand. superviseing investment in, and management of, over $20 billion in capital assets, this function is an essential member of the HealthNZ executive leadership abilities team. This person will work closely with peers on the executive and in the M?ori Health Authority to ensure investment in health facilities and other forms of infrastructure is improving the quality, accessibility, and equity of health care across the country - ensuring local, regional, and national requirements are considered. This position requires an exceptional leader, as Information technology will play a critical function across the organisation and the system - leading in asset, facilities, and design management, in addition to running the project management office for all infrastructure investment across the sector. The Chief Infrastructure and Investment agent will ensure that programmes and projects are delivered safely, on time and on budget. The function and the organisation are highly complex, so candidates will need to bring demonstrable practice in leading at scale and in managing and delivering value from a broad portfolio of assets and capital investment projects. The Chief Infrastructure and Investment agent will be accustomed to managing investment business cases across the lifecycle, in addition to championing transformational change and managing diverse and complex stakeholder interests.
