Receptionist - Greenlane

The Position
The function of the Receptionist/Medical Typing/Bookings is a shared front desk function within a specialist (departmental) area of this large Practice and includes varied responsibilities, such as:
• Patient contact (phone and face to face), liaising with Specialists, external hospital staff, suppliers etc
• Patient bookings procedures
• Liaising with Doctors, Specialist staff to ensure all patients are seen within a timely manner
• Some typing possible (eg end of day reports)
• General administration eg mail, record keeping, loading patient details, filing of patient referrals, and other Medical Practice related tasks
• Training to be provided on patient recording and booking systems, as well as general procedures
You:
• Will have all-round Reception and Administration work practice
• Be technologically savvy to pick up new database systems
• A calm, warm and truly empathetic person who genuinely cares about providing a wrap-around service to the Specialists wide variety of patients
• Excellent English, as face to face and telephone contact with patients
• Health Science Graduates should also apply
On offer:
• An excellent induction and training, ‘great support’ and you will not be on your own as you will be working alongside one other in this Dept
• continuing assignment, with permanent potential, as this is due to an internal promotion
• The opportunity to ‘try’ the medical sector, build your CV and therefore have success in future permanent applications as a result
• Free parking
• 40 hours per week eg start from 7.30am through to 9am, but cannot be rigid (eg unable to insist on only ever 9am starts)
• A warm, fabulous team, and a really terrific Manager who is our client!
• Top rate dependent on practice (inclusive of Holiday pay)
• Mandated medical employer so covid vaccination is required please
