As custodian to some of the most iconic venues in T?maki Makaurau Auckland, we are New Zealand's only major integrated performing arts centre, underpinned by a commercial conventions business, with a focus on presenting the best of national and international performing arts, conventions, meetings, and entertainment, as well as a range of community-focused programmes that all contribute towards a culturally rich Auckland.
He angit?tanga: The opportunity
The function of Videographer is an exciting position within Auckland Live that offers a creative, motivated, and highly visual person entrée to live shows, events, artists, and the performing arts industry, while working within a dynamic and supportive marketing team.
You will be responsible for planning and producing video content that showcase the Auckland Live brand, as well as tell the stories of our people, performances and event, and iconic venues. The function requires someone who is a dedicated team player, digitally savvy, confident, and articulate. They will be able to showcase hands-on practice capturing video content and understand the ins and outs of production from concept, scripting, shooting, editing to distribution.
The prosperous applicant will be self-driven but also perform well in a team environment, comfortable with transforming ideas into content, and able to work within tight deadlines. They will be able to demonstrate an appreciation for the arts and live entertainment and aspire to tell the most exciting stories from within New Zealand's largest performing arts organisation.

Skills/Competencies
   » The capability to develop stories and story angles, and prosperously tell those stories across various visual content platforms.
   » Be able to demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of best practice for digital media; digital technology and trends; and social media.
   » A high level of technical knowledge of digital equipment including camera gear, lighting, audio and editing software (Adobe Premier, After Effects).
   » A meticulous approach, coupled with creative flair, confidence, and be highly articulate.
   » Demonstrated editorial judgement.
   » A proven capability to work under minimum supervision as well as collaboratively within a team.
   » The capability to prioritise and manage concurrent projects.
   » The capability to build and nurture relationships.
   » Proven time management.
practice
   » A minimum of three years practice in digital or media content production in New Zealand digital or broadcast environments. practice in a studio or in-house environment essential.
   » skills in the end-to-end process of video production: from concept, scripting, working with talent, booking venues, coordination, budget, timelines, to editing, colour grading, captioning, dispatch, and distribution.
   » Working with a diverse range of internal and external clients and stakeholders, and coordinating freelancers, contractors, and creative agencies.

You will work in a multi-discipline marketing team dedicated to making the performing arts and live events accessible to everyone.
This is a permanent full-time position. The prosperous applicant will be required to undertake work outside of normal office hours from time to time to fulfil Auckland Live and Auckland Convention's marketing requirements.
