Our client is a prosperous and well-established food manufacturing business with offices located in central Auckland. The company has a high-profile and a significant market share in New Zealand and are part of a top-tier global corporate structure.
To cover a period of maternity leave until mid-late Q1 2022, an opportunity is available for a motivated and insightful Commercial Analyst, who will have a primary focus on the provision of decision support to the sales teams (retail and industrial), predominantly analytical review and the forecasting of impacts regarding customer and product profitcapability and pricing. Reporting to the General Manager of Finance & Commercial, key aspects of the function will include:
   » Manage the business analytical needs for the Retail and Industrial Sales areas
   » Sales Reporting: Monthly/Weekly/everyday
   » Managing the rebates and allowance process
   » Assistance in the sales budgeting and forecasting process
   » Sales and Profitcapability Analysis
   » Manage pricing & pricing reports
To be considered for this position, you will ideally be a qualified Accountant (CA, CPA, or equivalent) and have prior practice in a similar decision support focused function, with an analytical focus requiring the gathering of information from several sources. You'll be adaptable, relationship-focused, influential, and able to function in an environment with an ever changing set of priorities. The function will require a strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other software packages.
