About the function: You will be the labourer who works along side your team of 3-4 assisting from the outside, handing tools and equipment to your welder, and then executing your own important function behind the welder, grouting pipe lines inside newly laid water mains pipes. Some of these pipes are confined spaces and you will need to be able to work comfortably in this environment. You will have a varied day, working in the workshop, as well as out in the field. This is a function that will require a physically fit, and dedicated individual, to be prosperous. Your high attention to detail is key in this position where H&S is paramount. The right person for the job will be comfortable in a reactive environment where change is constant and you will need to roll with this. You will need to be proactive, switched on, and above all, highly reliable. You will be given Confined Spaces Training, and Site Safe training/passport. The right candidate will: Be physically fit and able Pass a drug test every time Site safe and First Aid is desirable but not essential Have a restricted or full licence and the capability to get to Otahuhu- be able to drive a manual Be a switched on/quick thinker who is proactive Have plenty of initiative My client has an amazing support path for the right person willing to take this function through to foreman/leadership abilities. Your courses will be funded for you, and your biggest fan will be your employer.
