We are seeking for an practiced, passionate leader who will lead our dedicated team at For the Love of Bees (FTLOB) to mitigate climate change through regenerative horticulture. Reporting to the Trustees, and located in Auckland, the GM is accountable for ensuring that the FTLOB team on the ground - our project manager, regenerative agronomist, beekeeper, urban farmers and educators are fully supported, resourced and enabled. this function involves networking and connecting with appropriate funding channels to ensure that For the Love of Bees can continue to consolidate its vision and expand and evolve its impact. this function will suit someone who is passionate about the kaupapa of FTLOB. Developing innovative and diverse funding approaches will be key to our success and the trust seeks an inspiring GM to lead us on this journey. The prosperous candidate will have: » Proven management practice » practice in accessing and gaining funding from local and national government, or social and philanthropic organisations, strongly preferred » A commitment to Treaty located approaches to relationships with mana whenua » An optimistic, bold, solutions-focused approach » Contract management and/or project management practice » Outstanding people expertise the capability to connect with and work alongside everyone in actualising the FTLOB vision » Effective oral and written communication expertise as well as financial literacy » The capability to manage multiple stakeholders and multiple demands » Evidence of a commitment to the environment, biodiversity, climate change or regeneration What is For the Love of Bees? For the Love of Bees, is a charitable trust creating a system of self-sustaining urban farms in Aotearoa that cultivate quality food for local people through regenerative horticultural practices that heal the ecosystem for our pollinators. Through these sites we create happier, healthier eco-systems and resilient, connected communities. We also create and share high quality, accessible educational practices around what a truly regenerative world looks like.
