Please carry on reading. Our medium sized dairy farm in Heriot (north of Gore) milks 650 cows through a 50 bail automated rotary. This is an owner-operated farm and we like to have a team of 4 working with us. Your main job will be milking cows. Other work may come available depending on your expertise and how long you can stay. Accomodation comes in the form of boarding (room, food, internet provided) with us, the owner-operators. The roster is five days on two days off. To apply you need to have: confidence around large animals and working outdoors, a full current drivers licence, an approved working holiday visa or valid work visa and be in New Zealand. candidates with significant practice have an advantage. You also need to speak and read English, be able to work in a team, or on your own when required, be physically fit and healthy, and willing to get stuck in and get dirty.
