Mechanical Design EngineerJob location:Wellington Hutt Valley Work Type: Permanent » » » Our client has been a trusted supplier of products for commercial buildings for over 30 years and has built up a solid reputation in the Construction space in both New Zealand and Australia. They are now looking for someone to join their brand new facility in Lower Hutt as a mechanical design engineer. This is a newly created opportunity and there is the chance for full autonomy and to take the function in your own direction. Hours of Work Monday-Friday 40 hours Key Responsibilities • Provide/Create and Design mechanical items: • Sheet metal enclosures for new product designs • Test fixtures for holding printed circuit boards in custom test systems for product testing as part of our production processes. • contact with our external manufacturing partners/suppliers for enclosures built to designs. • Maintain a growing list of mechanical drawings. Some from older CAD tools. For both individual components and assemblies • Use of version control system for mechanical drawings The expertise and practice you’ll need to bring with you include • A significant tertiary level qualification (Such as Mechanical Engineering degree) • Well established expertise with mechanical CAD tools; • Creating 3D CAD records for complete product description • Cable loom specification management • practice with Bill of Material management • practice in managing external fabricators and their required documentation. • Sheet metal enclosure design practice for required strength and thermal targets • Able to problem solve and be proactive If you would like to join as mechanical design engineer please click apply!
