We have a great opportunity for an outstanding people-leader to become our Regional Director for the Northland Region.
Our geographical area extends from Te Hana to Cape Rienga.

The Northland Region currently has a client base of 21,827 New Zealanders in receipt of a main benefit of which 13,218 are M?ori, 3,296 are rangatahi and 11,799 are women.

As the Regional Director, you will lead and be accountable for 7 Work and earnings sites and staff who work across the wider Northland area.
Reporting to the Northland Regional Commissioner you will:
   » Understand the needs of M?ori and Pacifica with drive to get the best for our people.
   » Be committed to leading our teams to achieve equitable results for M?ori, Pacifica and people who practice ill health and discapability.
   » Lead and drive performance across the region, including the prosperous implementation of Ministry initiatives.
   » Create a welcoming and positive environment for wh?nau and employees, where we look after each other - Manaakitanga, and provide a great service to our whanau.
   » Champion sustainable employment results, initiatives and practices - and then take time out to celebrate successes - Whakanui.
   » Provide guidance, support and training to develop the leadership abilities capcapability in your teams
   » Support established relationships - Whakawhanaungatanga, with social service agencies, employers, community groups and industry/providers to ensure we're tied and delivering an integrated service.
   » Strive for continuous improvement, always linking our teams back to the ?why' we do things -Hononga and aiming for operational excellence.
You'll demonstrate the following expertise and practice:
   » A commitment to M?ori, Pacifica.
   » A desire to support people who practice ill health and discapability into employment.
   » An knowledge of the Government's obligation to M?ori as the treaty partner.
   » Using strategic thinking, planning and analysis to drive good decision making.
   » leadership abilities, management and planning of integrated service delivery operations.
   » Management practice of senior people across distributed areas.
   » Stakeholder management of diverse groups.
   » Working and collaborating with community/industry groups.
   » knowledge and navigating the complexities of public sector issues.
