We are seeking for policy professionals at all levels, who want to be part of shaping the future of the strategy and policy advice we are providing for COVID-19. People who would suit this function will have a strong ethic of public service and will see this as an opportunity to make a difference. They will come with a range of policy skills, skills and backgrounds. You will be great at: » breaking down (and solving) complex policy problems » building policy from the lived practice of our diverse communities » innovative thinking – creating the how for our health and discapability system to tackle critical challenges, whilst still ensuring equity and Te Tiriti considerations are at the forefront of our thinking. To be prosperous you will have practice in applying analytical, empathetic and / or design thinking to challenging problems, and should be adaptive to a diverse and at times rapidly changing work programme. This team is where you will hone your capability to provide robust well considered advice, across a range of senior stakeholders and cross agencies. You will be a true collaborator building genuine relationships at all levels. For Senior and Principal functions, you will need to demonstrate a strong track record of delivering analytically robust and impactful work programmes, as well as freely sharing your expertise mentoring others as well as being mentored. expertise of the health and discapability sector is not essential.
