Our Corporate Strategy & Business Improvement team is seeking an exceptional Strategic Communications and Change Lead to join their dynamic team! Reporting to the General Manager Corporate Strategy & Business Improvement, you will develop and lead the delivery of enterprise communications and change plans to support council-wide strategic initiatives in the areas of organisational strategy, operating model implementation and culture.
You will develop and execute an overarching communication strategy for embedding these strategic initiatives including communication with our people, elected members and external audiences and to maintain full transparency.
You will champion the integration of communications relating to the strategic initiatives with broader internal communications activity on an continuing basis whilst developing a cohesive story and a common way of talking about programmes, ensuring our people understand our organisational strategy, the culture we want at council and the need for continuous improvement and adaptcapability within council.You will also support effective change management of these strategic initiatives by leading the development of an enterprise change management plan.

Tertiary qualified, you will bring broad practice in a similar senior function with strong practice in delivering communication strategies and plans.
Politically savvy with strong organisational acumen and communication, your collaborative approach to design and delivery will set you apart. Your capability to build trust and strong partnerships and work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, often with different agendas, will set you in good stead.
You will have a strong knowledge of our M?ori Responsiveness framework and Te Tiriti obligations in order to help drive the division's M?ori Responsiveness Plan and continue to build capcapability and confidence across the division.
