P?manawa Tangata Human Resources sits within He Pou Aronui Organisational Capcapability and Services, a branch dedicated to working together to drive the Department of Internal Affairs to excel for New Zealanders.

About the job:
   » The HR Business Partner function is key to building leadership abilities capcapability and supporting DIA to be a high performing organisation and a great place to work.
   » The function provides strategic HR advice to 2 or 3 Deputy Chief Executives and their senior leadership abilities teams to support them to lead their branches and business groups to meet their strategic business objectives.
   » The prosperous candidate will have strategic HR capcapability and the capability to work in partnership with senior leaders to develop and implement branch specific people and workforce strategies and initiatives. You will be able to acquire essential business knowledge quickly.
   » The position is also part of the HR leadership abilities team and is responsible for actively contributing to the success of the P?manawa Tangata team to be highly capable, responsive, collaborative, cohesive and customer-centric.
expertise required:
The right candidate for this significant, dynamic function will have proven practice in an organisational development or strategic HR function in a complex environment.
You will have sound knowledge and broad practice across HR disciplines including strategy development, employee relations, change management, organisational and workforce development. You will also demonstrate proven capability to quickly build strong, trusted relationships with senior leaders and will have high levels of adaptcapability and resilience.
Other Requirements:
A tertiary qualification in Human Resources management or related discipline is preferred.
