The building has recently been remade inside with a focus on peoples enjoyment including us/staff with a nice mix of country aesthetic and bohemia. We care about sustainable practices and strive to minimise waste which entails cup return schemes, recycling, composting and feeding our lucky chickens! We create most of the food and condiments ourselves to keep things unique. We also do a lot of preserving over summer and autumn from local fruit and are developing working gardens on site. We know what it’s like to be taken advantage of in this industry, so we strive to be communicative and flexible to your situation. Mangaweka is nestled in the heart of the Rangitikei with access to kayaking/rafting, great swimming holes nature reserves and walks. There is also a great camping ground next to th river close by. We are 15min south of Taihape, 1hr from Palmerston North or Whanganui, 1hr15min from Turoa skifield and 2hrs from Taupo Township. There are positions open for front of house and kitchen full time or part time. practice is not essential, but a good attitude is! FOH Do you enjoy a busy environment? Have a positive attitude? Have initiative? tasks include Making coffee (All training given) Taking orders Running food Restocking FOH fridges and retail shelves Dishes (everyone does dishes ;) Kitchen Do you love food and take pride in your work? Love to lgain and challenge yourself? Are you a team player with a good attitude? tasks include Prepping menu items and cabinet food. Service Preserving/bottling Rummaging through our garden for herbs & veges Dishes (everyone does dishes ;) Remuneration $23-$28 depending on practice/performance.
